What You Will Do:

- Deliver high-quality Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions throughout the service area.
- Conduct specialist dysphagia assessments and interventions tailored to individual service users' needs.
- Support the Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in maintaining efficient service delivery and identifying necessary service improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure service user outcomes align with their ongoing management plans.
- Address any performance or conduct issues of colleagues by reporting to senior management as required.
- Promote and protect the well-being and interests of all service users, employees, and visitors.
- Ensure that data and information respect confidentiality, security, accuracy, and compliance with statutory guidelines.
- Maintain and demonstrate competency as prescribed by the HCPC and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Provide expert SLT advice and consultation to others involved in the service user’s care, acting as an autonomous practitioner responsible for your interventions.
- Supervise junior staff and students, as directed by your line manager.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

- A completed professional qualification allowing registration with the HCPC as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Membership of the RCSLT.
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist with a minimum of two years' experience.
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs relevant to our service area.
- Proven track record of supporting junior staff, including students.
- Excellent written English skills.
