What you will do:

Lead, motivate, supervise, and manage a team of social workers and practitioners within the Kinship Fostering Team.
Provide regular supervision, performance management, and professional support to maintain high standards of practice.
Oversee assessments of prospective kinship foster carers, ensuring compliance with fostering regulations, legislation, and best practice standards.
Ensure foster carers receive effective support, guidance, and development opportunities to promote successful placements.
Manage safeguarding concerns promptly and effectively, providing oversight on complex child protection and fostering cases.
Monitor and review casework, assessments, reports, and care planning to ensure quality and consistency.
Develop strong partnerships with Children's Services teams, education providers, health professionals, legal services, and other agencies to improve outcomes for children.
Monitor team performance, evaluate service data, and contribute to audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money and efficient service delivery.
Support the development and implementation of Coventry City Council's Kinship Care Strategy.
Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practice across the service.
Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, national minimum standards, statutory guidance, and local authority procedures.
