Locum Social Worker - Safeguarding Team in Islington, earning £37.52 per hour. Ongoing contract. Core hours are 9am-5pm Monday - Friday, with flexibility around start and finish times available, including options such as 8am-6pm for 4 days a week. Part-time considered.

What you will do:
- Carry out core assessments, pre-birth assessments, and risk assessments with precision and care.
- Collaborate on Section 47 child protection investigations, providing expert insight and support.
- Write and present statements for court, ensuring effective communication and representation of the authority.
- Complete Section 7 and 37 reports with clarity and professionalism.
- Represent the authority in court, providing evidence to support the cases.
- Conduct home visits for monitoring purposes and to ensure child safety.
- Keep thorough and up-to-date case recordings.
- Convene and chair core group meetings, driving collaboration and solutions.
- Liaise with other professionals to coordinate effective care plans.
- Carry out joint investigations and interviews with police, maintaining clear and timely communication.
- Initiate and see through care proceedings, making a tangible difference in children's lives.
- Implement and regularly review Care Plans, adapting to changing circumstances.
- Supervise contact arrangements, ensuring safe environments.
- Write comprehensive case conference reports.
- Attend case conferences and strategy meetings, contributing diagnosis and support.
- Complete Child in Need plans, tailoring responses to individual requirements.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker
