What you will do:

  • Carer Support & Supervision: Offer regular supervision and support to foster and kinship carers, ensuring national standards are met with commitment and care.
  • Assessment & Planning: Conduct thorough statutory assessments (such as Form F), write detailed reports, and devise plans that cater to identified needs.
  • Child-Centered Practice: Champion the welfare and identity of children by advocating for their best interests and promoting their involvement in decision-making processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Cooperate closely with other professionals, including fellow social workers and therapists, to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Training & Development: Lead training sessions, contribute to the development of carers, and actively participate in recruitment campaigns.
  • Matching & Placement: Handle the matching process between carers and children, skilfully managing both planned and emergency placements.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
  • Current and active Social Work England registration.
  • Robust frontline experience within UK Social Services, showcasing your expertise as a qualified Social Worker.
