What you will do:
- Collaborate with individuals across Manchester, providing expert social work support within the Preparing for Adulthood/LD Service
- Work closely within the office for at least three days a week, contributing actively to team discussions and decisions
- Use your knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and risk management to support service users effectively
- Participate in statutory social work duties, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practices
- Engage with community resources and partners to enhance service delivery and outcomes for individuals
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Relevant degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience as a qualified Social Worker within the UK Social Services, particularly in statutory roles
