Rate: £27.03 per hour PAYE / £35.45 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Temporary
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Seven Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker / Advanced Practitioner to undertake court ordered assessments within Children and Families Services. This is a non-case holding assessment focused role supporting court proceedings and robust decision making for children and families.

The role involves completing high quality parenting, sibling, risk and safeguarding assessments, producing court compliant reports, and providing clear analytical recommendations to support judicial decision making.

This position is suitable for experienced Social Workers, Advanced Practitioners, Court Social Workers, Children and Families Social Workers, and Assessment Practitioners with strong court experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake court directed assessments including parenting, sibling, and risk assessments
  • Complete structured parenting assessments (e.g. Parent Assess or equivalent tools)
  • Gather and analyse information from children, families, professionals, and records
  • Produce high quality, analytical, court compliant reports within strict deadlines
  • Provide written and verbal evidence in court as required
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recordings in line with statutory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with legal teams, social workers, and partner agencies
  • Ensure all assessment work is child focused and safeguarding led
  • Contribute to decision making through clear evidence based analysis

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Significant experience in Children and Families Social Work
  • Strong experience of court work, assessments, and report writing
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and court processes
  • Ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, written, and communication skills
  • Experience with parenting assessment tools is desirable
