What you will do:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of children and their families to accurately determine needs and create effective care plans.
  • Deliver targeted and direct support to children with disabilities and their families to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend court processes to ensure safeguarding and welfare promotion of children.
  • Handle complex and sensitive situations with professionalism and care.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain up-to-date records using ITC systems.

Requirements of the Advanced Practitioner:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience working in statutory children and families social care settings within the UK.
  • Proven experience in direct work with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Competency in handling complex situations and sensitive information.
  • Experience attending court processes and promoting child welfare.
  • Familiarity with MCA assessments, DOLS applications, and transitions to adult services.
