What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of major equipment and adaptation cases of varying complexity for disabled children and young people. You will be responsible for assessments, recommendations, evaluation and approvals, all integral to meeting the needs of your clients.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to other staff within the Directorate, and collaborate with multi-agency staff on disability aspects to ensure informed decision-making.
- Initiate and nurture close joint working relationships with statutory agencies, local housing providers, District Councils, Health Commissioners, voluntary organisations, private agencies, and more to deliver an effective service.
- Support business continuity with your expertise as an experienced children’s Occupational Therapist.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Hold a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist within the UK.
- Experience in the NHS is paramount.
- HCPC registered.
- Demonstrated experience as a children’s OT needed to support business continuity.
