What you will do:

Manage a complex caseload of children and families, including Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17) cases.
Undertake and oversee statutory assessments, risk assessments, and care planning, ensuring timely and effective safeguarding interventions.
Lead and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding processes, including strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings.
Prepare and present high-quality reports and court documentation, including involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO) and care proceedings where required.

Person Specification:

Qualifications

Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
Evidence of continued professional development
Post-qualifying training (desirable)

Registration & Compliance

Registered with Social Work England
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children
Enhanced DBS clearance
