What you will do:

- Lead the planning and monitoring of tasks to meet the business objectives of your team within Adult Services.
- Conduct effective appraisals and supervision of staff to ensure continuous improvement of Council services.
- Ensure compliance with Safeguarding Adults policies and legislation at both local and national levels.
- Guide and support team members in upholding and developing high professional standards.
- Advocate a strengths-based model of self-directed support, empowering service users and carers to identify outcome-focused solutions.
- Directly supervise select staff, overseeing the allocation of work and management of their performance.
- Be financially astute, managing budgets effectively while promoting independence through strength-based solutions.
- Maintain high standards of practice, ensuring accountability and alignment with departmental standards.
- Collaborate with various disciplines in line with Hackney’s integration plans for health and care.
- Work closely with the Team Manager and Consultant Social Worker to prioritise and achieve a balance between development and practice.
- Operate within a performance management and budgetary framework.
- Contribute to the development of Quality Assurance Frameworks, working with the Quality Assurance Team and related stakeholders to enhance safeguarding practices.
