What you will do:

• Conduct a range of assessments including Core Assessments, pre-birth assessments, and comprehensive risk assessments to ensure child safety and welfare.
• Take charge of Section 47 child protection investigations and work on writing detailed statements for court proceedings.
• Complete Section 7 and 37 reports, and confidently represent the authority in court proceedings to present evidence.
• Carry out essential home visits to monitor the environment and condition to safeguard children effectively.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date case recordings, and convene and chair vital core group meetings.
• Collaborate and liaise energetically with other professionals and agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to child welfare.
• Initiate and follow through on care proceedings, supervise contact, and diligently write case conference reports.
• Attend and contribute to case conferences and strategy meetings, and develop and complete Child in Need plans to promote well-being.
