What you will do
- Provide personal care and practical assistance to service users, following individual care plans to promote dignity, choice, and independence.
- Lead and guide care staff during shifts, offering supervision, guidance, and essential handovers.
- Assist with mobility, nutrition, hydration, continence care, personal grooming, and daily living activities.
- Administer medication or support its administration, adhering to organisational policies and training.
- Monitor the health, wellbeing, and evolving needs of service users, quickly escalating any concerns to nursing or management staff.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care Adult Care or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Care Certificate or willingness to complete if needed.
- Training in medication administration or willingness to undergo training.
Experience
- Previous experience in adult social care, residential care, nursing care, or community care services.
- Experience in supporting older adults and individuals with complex health, physical, or cognitive needs.
