Our friendly and highly regarded team is at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud of the reputation we have built for excellent customer service and quality workmanship.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a positive, enthusiastic and organised Receptionist / Administrator to join our team, working from our new, spacious office.

As one of the first points of contact for our valued customers and visitors, you will play an important role in providing a warm welcome, delivering excellent customer service and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our office and workshops.

This is a varied and busy role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong administrative skills and takes pride in providing a friendly, professional and efficient service.

Key Duties

  • Manage the diary, including booking vehicles in for servicing, MOTs and repairs.
  • Prepare estimates and invoices, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with stock control, including ordering parts, processing purchase orders, handling returns paperwork and liaising with suppliers.
  • Contact customers to advise when their vehicles are ready for collection and provide MOT reminders.
  • Process supplier invoices and credits, maintaining accurate information on the business's computer system.
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met and the office and workshops run efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, helping to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Carry out general administrative duties and provide support to the wider team as required.
  • Take customer payments and maintain accurate records.

Skills Required

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, polite and professional manner.
  • Confident telephone manner and a genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads and work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small, friendly team.
  • Previous reception, administration or customer service experience would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of vehicles or previous experience within the motor trade would be an advantage but is not essential.

Full training will be provided on our garage management system.
