What you will do:

  • Provide a robust quality assurance and reviewing service for children in care, child protection, and fostering contexts.
  • Ensure statutory and safeguarding requirements are met through thorough oversight and challenge.
  • Champion children's rights and ensure their voices remain central in care plans and decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate and organise statutory meetings under the Children Act 1989 and Working Together 2023, adopting a strengths-based approach.
  • Collaborate effectively with professionals across different agencies to improve service provision for children and families.
  • Drive forward the ambition for service excellence and impact, focusing on meaningful outcomes for children and young people.
  • Influence strategic developments by providing professional input into the ongoing transformation programmes within the Council.
