Qualified Social Worker – Adults Safeguarding (Section 42 Enquiries)
Location: Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire (HU17 9BA)
Contract: Temporary (6 Months)
Hours: Full-Time, 37 Hours per Week (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Pay Rate: £24.46 PAYE | £31.13 Umbrella

About the Role

Seven Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Qualified Adult Social Worker to join a dedicated Adults Safeguarding Team in East Riding of Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner with strong expertise in safeguarding adults and Section 42 enquiries to play a key role in protecting vulnerable individuals.

This role is ideal for candidates with a solid background in adult social care, safeguarding investigations, and risk management, who are confident managing complex cases and working within statutory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding & Section 42 Enquiries

• Lead and undertake Section 42 safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act
• Assess and manage risk for vulnerable adults, ensuring appropriate protection plans are in place
• Work with individuals, families, and carers to promote safety, independence, and wellbeing

Case Management & Assessment

• Complete strength-based assessments, reviews, and care planning
• Manage a caseload involving complex safeguarding concerns and high-risk situations
• Ensure all interventions are person-centred and outcome-focused

Multi-Agency Working

• Work collaboratively with health services, police, housing, and community partners
• Attend and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding meetings and case conferences
• Ensure effective communication and partnership working across all services

Compliance & Recording

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with GDPR and local authority standards
• Ensure all work complies with Care Act legislation and safeguarding policies

Requirements

To be considered for this Adult Social Worker Job in East Riding of Yorkshire, you must have:

• Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with current registration
• Extensive experience in Adults Safeguarding
• Proven experience conducting Section 42 enquiries (essential)
• Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding frameworks
• Experience managing complex cases and risk assessments
