Production Line Leader 

Location – Rochester, Kent (ME2 2JU)

Salary: £27,000 – £30,000
Shift: Monday to Friday | 08:30–17:00 (30 min unpaid lunch) | 40 hours per week

Job Role

This Production Line Leader role will see you working within a growing sports supplements and nutrition manufacturer in Rochester, Kent. As the most senior person on the line, you will provide day-to-day leadership and hands-on technical support, working closely with the Supervisor to achieve production, quality, safety and efficiency targets.

As a Production Line Leader, you’ll coordinate resources across multiple processes and act as the first point of escalation for issues relating to people, equipment, product and process. The role requires strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, with the ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot, dismantle and clean machinery safely and effectively. You’ll also support and coach operators to develop their skills and improve performance, ensuring the line runs right-first-time with strong standards and compliance.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of “Production Line Leader”

• Must have previous experience as a senior operator / production line leader / team leader / supervisor (or equivalent) within manufacturing

Desirable Requirements of “Production Line Leader”

• Experience within a GMP / hygiene-controlled manufacturing environment (food, pharma, supplements, cosmetics, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail when monitoring quality to specification and completing paperwork correctly
• A proactive approach to housekeeping, audits and continuous improvement
