What you will do:

Manage a caseload of approximately 10-11 children from 4-5 families involved in care proceedings.

Undertake statutory visits, care planning, reviews, and safeguarding interventions in accordance with legislation and local procedures.

Prepare high-quality assessments, court reports, statements, and care plans to support informed decision-making.

Represent Children's Services in court proceedings and contribute to legal planning processes.

Work directly with children and families to assess needs, risks, strengths, and long-term outcomes.

Evaluate current risks and protective factors, considering the likelihood of sustainable change within the child's timescale.

Apply the Department of Health Assessment Framework and utilise the NSPCC Reunification Framework where appropriate.

Assess parental capacity to meet children's needs, taking into account the impact of trauma, adversity, and family dynamics.

Tailor assessments and interventions to account for communication needs, learning styles, and barriers to engagement.

Collaborate with health professionals, education services, legal teams, and other partner agencies to ensure coordinated support.

Contribute actively to multi-agency meetings, reviews, and case discussions to promote positive outcomes for children.
