We are on the lookout for an energetic and resourceful Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician to join our dynamic team in Inverness, UK. You'll work full-time, devoting 37.5 hours per week, generally between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, giving you a steady routine as you explore new places and meet fascinating people along the way. What you will do
- Conduct health surveillance screenings, including audiometry, lung function testing, and baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.
- Accurately record medical information in occupational health records and ensure it is passed to the relevant clinical staff.
- Maintain equipment to ensure it is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose.
- Support health promotion initiatives and undertake additional duties as required.
- Assist the wider occupational health team by gathering and recording accurate information to support clinical decision-making.
- Provide biometric data through screening procedures to enable nursing and medical staff to make informed patient management decisions.
Requirements
- Excellent time management, organisational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of GDPR.
- Ability to deliver health promotion and health surveillance services.
- Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, Ambulance Technician, Ambulance Assistant, Emergency Care Technician, Army Medic, or a similar healthcare role is desirable.
- Graduates in Sports Science with experience performing baseline measurements are encouraged to apply.
- A valid manual UK driving licence held for at least 12 months is essential.
- Ability to provide a driving licence share code via the official GOV.UK service.
- Willingness to use your own vehicle or a company-provided hire car during the initial weeks of employment until your company van is available.
