What you will do:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients within the stroke and neuro wards.
- Conduct thorough assessments to establish patients' needs and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Implement tailored therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' functional abilities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and the best possible outcomes.
- Support patients in transitioning from inpatient care to community or home-based settings.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance services within the Stroke & Neuro Service.
Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:
- Hold a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Have recent UK experience as an Occupational Therapist, with a focus on stroke and neuro services.
- Recent NHS experience is essential for this role.
- Must be registered with the HCPC.
- Should have specialist experience in NHS settings and inpatient stroke and neuro services, with desirable experience in community and Early Supported Discharge settings.
