We are on the lookout for three skilled Occupational Therapists to join the Social Services Team in beautiful Ceredigion. This ongoing locum position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of £42.63 and provides the flexibility of largely remote working. However, you'll need to be based locally to promptly respond to time-sensitive cases, so you’ll need to arrange your own accommodation. This role promises full-time interaction, facilitating timely decision-making and rapid interventions while working closely with the Council’s triage and main OT teams.

What you will do:

• Undertake screening and triage of referrals, working under the direction of a senior Occupational Therapist.
• Conduct specialised Occupational Therapy assessments, including functional assessments within the home environment.
• Provide urgent response input when required, with a focus on same-day and short-notice visits to reduce risk and prevent hospital admissions.
• Assess, prescribe, and review the provision of necessary equipment.
• Complete manual handling risk assessments and offer practical guidance on safe moving and handling techniques.
• Recommend and implement minor adaptations and equipment solutions to enhance independence and safety.
• Support postural management assessments and equipment recommendations, collaborating with relevant professionals as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the front door/triage function and the main OT team to ensure seamless handovers, appropriate prioritisation, and timely allocation.
• Maintain accurate, timely case recording in accordance with service standards and statutory requirements.
