Locum Opportunity: Band 6 Occupational Therapist within Paediatric Services in Stevenage and Watford, earning up to £350 per day. What you will do:
- Conduct initial assessments of functional difficulties for children aged 5 to 18, focusing on personal activities and access to home environments.
- Complete comprehensive Child scoring, set targets, and compile detailed reports.
- Manage child referrals, ensuring smooth transitions to HCT therapy assistants for intervention, with some direct interventions as necessary.
- Execute interventions, primarily via therapy assistants, up to a maximum of six per child, assessing and reporting results.
- Allocate 90 minutes for initial assessments with additional time for vital administrative tasks, referrals, and report compilation.
- Send thorough reports to parents, schools, GPs, and original referrers to close the communication loop effectively.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Possess a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Demonstrate recent experience as an Occupational Therapist in the UK, ideally within the NHS.
- Hold registration with the HCPC, ensuring you meet professional and ethical standards.
