What you will do:
- Lead ward-based interventions within the hospital, including home visits to aid patient discharge
- Develop rehabilitation strategies for patients with orthopaedic or neurological conditions, including strokes
- Carry out assessments and treatments with a focus on enabling and patient-centred care
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve patient and therapy directed goals
- Manage and mentor an Occupational Therapy Assistant, overseeing their implementation of treatment plans
- Use research methodologies to advance best practices and service enhancement
- Engage in strategic groups to propose policy improvements and service development
- Liaise with community-based services and support agencies to ensure comprehensive care delivery
