What you will do:
- Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team structure of the CMHT to support service users with severe and enduring mental health problems.
- Manage a small caseload and take responsibility for the coordination of clinical activities within the team.
- Set clinical priorities to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.
- Supervise and support clinical staff, providing expertise on care coordination and day-to-day clinical operations.
- Contribute valuable insights and leadership to multidisciplinary team meetings and decision-making processes.
- Partner closely with care coordinators to uphold high clinical care standards, ensuring practices are informed by the best evidence-based approaches.
- Assist in the screening and coordination of referrals, as well as participate in allocation and discharge meetings.
- Allocate caseloads effectively, taking into account the needs of service users and available team skills.
- Familiarise yourself with CMHT data and performance requirements, ensuring these are met consistently by the team.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
- NMC Registration
