What you will do:

• Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team structure of the CMHT to support service users with severe and enduring mental health problems.
• Manage a small caseload and take responsibility for the coordination of clinical activities within the team.
• Set clinical priorities to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.
• Supervise and support clinical staff, providing expertise on care coordination and day-to-day clinical operations.
• Contribute valuable insights and leadership to multidisciplinary team meetings and decision-making processes.
• Partner closely with care coordinators to uphold high clinical care standards, ensuring practices are informed by the best evidence-based approaches.
• Assist in the screening and coordination of referrals, as well as participate in allocation and discharge meetings.
• Allocate caseloads effectively, taking into account the needs of service users and available team skills.
• Familiarise yourself with CMHT data and performance requirements, ensuring these are met consistently by the team.

Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:

• Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
• Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
• NMC Registration
