Location: East Lancashire
Salary: £55,000
Shift: Days - Monday to Friday (Sociable hours)
Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
A superb opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical bias) to join a successful manufacturer within the East Lancashire area. The company prides itself on a positive working culture where teamwork and mutual respect are at the centre of daily operations.
You will be responsible for both mechanical and electrical maintenance, responding to breakdowns, completing planned preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site machinery.
Sector – Factory Maintenance
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment or forces background.
- Multi-skilled engineer with a mechanical bias (60/40 or 70/30 split).
- Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in fast paced industrial factory.
Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Completed a full hands on apprenticeship with an NVQ Level 3 qualification within engineering.
- Mechanially: able to work on belts, bearings, chains, gearboxes, weld and fabricate (to a basic level - MIG or STICK)
- Electrically: able to work on sensors, motors, relays.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment or forces background.
- A confident self starter, who is safety conscious and willing to get stuck in.
Desirable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Experience with working on PLC’s, ideally being able to fault find using inputs and outputs
