Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

Location: Wisbech
Salary: Up to £44.,000 
Shift: Days (8am–5pm) Monday to Friday.

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Engineer:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Wisbech, operating highly automated production and packaging equipment.

This is a day-based position within a close-knit and high-performing engineering team, offering a strong level of autonomy and trust. Engineers are given the freedom to manage their own workload, with no micromanagement, and are encouraged to take ownership of both maintenance and improvement activities.

The successful Multi Skilled Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support across site equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. You will also be involved in continuous improvement projects and engineering developments across the site.

With significant overtime available (OTE £50,000+), this role offers an excellent opportunity to increase earnings while maintaining a strong work-life balance.

Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Engineer:

• Multi Skilled with either electrical or mechanical bias 
• Must hold a recognised engineering qualification
• Must have experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability

Requirements for the Multi Skilled Engineer:

• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
• Experience working on automated production machinery
• Strong fault finding across mechanical and/or electrical systems
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience supporting continuous improvement activities

Desirable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Engineer:

• FMCG or food manufacturing experience
• PLC fault finding experience
• Experience using a CMMS system
• Experience supporting project or improvement-based work
