Mig Welder in Stoke-on-trent, Staffordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established heavy manufacturing client in the Staffordshire area for an experienced MIG Welder to join a skilled fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to secure a long-term position within a busy, production-focused environment working on large-scale structural metalwork.
The Job Role
- MIG welding of heavy-gauge steel components and fabricated assemblies in a high-volume production environment
- Interpreting and working directly from engineering drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications
- Fitting and tacking sub-assemblies prior to final welding, ensuring correct alignment and dimensional accuracy
- Carrying out visual inspection of completed welds, identifying and rectifying defects to maintain quality standards
- Operating and setting up MIG welding equipment
- Working to production targets and schedules whilst maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship
- Adhering to all site health, safety, and PPE requirements at all times
What We're Looking For
- Proven MIG welding experience in a heavy fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Confident ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols — essential
- Experience welding heavy-gauge or structural steel in multiple positions
- Reliable, quality-conscious, and able to work to production deadlines
- Full commitment to health, safety, and PPE compliance

- Day Shifts: Monday to Thursday, with an early finish on Friday
- Nights Shifts: Monday to Thursday
