We are a long-established, industry-leading organisation operating across multiple UK sites, specialising in large-scale materials processing and recovery. With five sites nationwide and a strong presence across the Midlands, South East and South West, our Cheshire facility is the only site within the northern region and plays a key role in our UK operations.

The Role for the mechanical maintenance engineer

We are looking for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join our busy Cheshire site. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role in a heavy industrial environment, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of processing equipment.

  • Assist with maintenance on equipment used to separate mixed materials including metals, paper and various product streams.
  • Work safely within a challenging, industrial environment.

What We're Looking For in mechanical maintenance engineer

  • Strong mechanical engineering background; experience in heavy or less-clean environments preferred over FMCG.
  • Competency in welding (MIG, TIG or Stick).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled maintenance team.
  • A practical, solution-focused attitude and willingness to work in a busy operational environment.

Why Join Us?
