Ascend Support is looking for an experienced Bank Outreach Support Worker to provide person centred support across Lambert and Cheam.
Male Bank Outreach Support Worker
Location: Outreach across Lambert and Cheam
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Holiday Pay: 12.07% rolled up holiday pay
Contract: Bank
Experience Required: Minimum 6 months' care or support experience
Outreach Hours:
- Lambert: 10:00am to 4:00pm, 5 days per week
- Cheam, SM3: 10:00am to 4:00pm, 2 days per week

As a Bank Outreach Support Worker with Ascend Support, you will provide practical, person centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
The focus is on helping each person build confidence, make their own choices and maintain as much independence as possible within their own home and local community.
This is a great opportunity if you already have experience in care or support and are looking for daytime bank hours in an outreach setting.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person centred support in individuals' homes and within the community
- Supporting people with everyday living and maintaining their independence
- Helping individuals make choices about their routines, activities and lifestyle
- Supporting access to appointments, community activities and local services
- Providing support with health needs and medication in line with agreed procedures
- Helping individuals manage their tenancy, finances and household responsibilities where required
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive risk taking
- Building positive relationships with the people you support, their families and professionals
- Maintaining accurate records and completing required documentation
- Following safeguarding, health and safety and risk management procedures
- Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent, high quality support
About You
To be considered, you will need:
- At least 6 months' previous care or support experience
- A genuine commitment to promoting independence, dignity and choice
- A reliable and responsible approach
- Good communication skills
- Confidence working in an outreach or community based environment
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- The ability to maintain accurate records and follow agreed support plans
- Flexibility to work the available bank hours
