Salary: £56,500
Shift: Monday to Friday, Days

The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Planner to join a well-established, heavily invested heavy industrial manufacturing site currently undergoing significant development and expansion.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to come off the tools and move into a hands-off, planning-focused position within a structured and forward-thinking environment.
Working as part of a close-knit team of three, the Engineering Planner will play a key role in ensuring engineering and maintenance activities are planned, scheduled and delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You’ll be responsible for developing and managing engineering plans in line with the Maintenance Management Plan (MMP), coordinating resources, supporting contractors and ensuring work is delivered effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed engineering and maintenance plans aligned with the MMP
- Review and manage maintenance requests through the CMMS, including creating work orders
- Conduct site assessments and identify required resources, including materials, tools and contractors
- Prepare risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Coordinate engineering schedules with supervisors and production teams
- Manage both reactive and planned engineering activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits
- Arrange contractor bookings, reporting and engineering meetings
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and reduce costs
- Supervise contractors and act as Responsible Officer (RO)
- Issue and manage permits to work
- Maintain high standards of safety, communication and leadership
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Experience as a engineering or maintenance planner or an experienced engineering manager who is looking to come off the tools
Additional Requirements
Due to the nature of the site, candidates must be:
- Willing to undertake monthly blood tests
- Willing to shower on-site before shifts
