Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Telford. The company continues to invest in new machinery, tooling and technology, offering a varied role within a well-established engineering team.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will carry out a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance, with approximately 80% of the role focused on PPMs. They will work across high-volume production and processing machinery, water treatment plant, material handling systems, pneumatic equipment and cutting machinery, while also supporting continuous improvement projects and occasional installations.
Sector - Manufacturing
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer
- Level 3 engineering qualification.
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience with an electrical bias.
- Manufacturing or forces background.
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
- Electrical and Mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- Experience completing reactive breakdown repairs.
- Able to work independently and make decisions when required.
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Experience within a high-volume or process manufacturing environment.
- Experience working on automated production machinery.
- Knowledge of material handling and pneumatic systems.
- Experience supporting machinery installations or improvement projects.
- Apprenticeship background.
The Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:
