Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing plastics manufacturing business. The company has continued to invest heavily in its production facility, machinery, and engineering team, creating a modern working environment with a strong focus on reliability, continuous improvement, and employee development.
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to machinery breakdowns, and supporting the ongoing performance and efficiency of a wide range of production equipment. You will work on both electrical and mechanical systems while playing an active role in continuous improvement projects.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical) - HNC/NVQ/Desire preffered
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
- Experience working with manufacturing machinery and production equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
Desirable for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Previous experience within the plastics manufacturing industry.
- Experience with PLC fault finding using inputs and outputs.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, extrusion, injection moulding, or associated plastics processing equipment.
