The Role

You will be expected to:

  • Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiate learning to support a wide range of abilities and needs.
  • Prepare pupils for statutory assessments (SATs) with confidence and care.
  • Use assessment data effectively to track progress and inform planning.
  • Support pupils with SEND and EAL through targeted and inclusive strategies.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Key Stage and wider school.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities and whole-school initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a motivated and reflective teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it (ECTs and PGCE students welcome).
  • Has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and expectations.
  • Is confident in delivering core subjects, particularly English and Maths.
  • Has effective classroom management skills and high expectations for all pupils.
  • Can adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Is organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the classroom.
