What you will do

• Provide independent oversight of looked‑after children’s cases, ensuring their welfare and best interests are central to all planning.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the local authority and partnership arrangements to maintain high standards of practice.
• Identify areas of poor practice within children’s social care and provide strategic advice to drive improvement.
• Chair statutory reviews in line with legislation and guidance, ensuring children’s voices are heard and prioritised.
• Work collaboratively with social workers and partner professionals to promote effective care planning and positive outcomes.
