HYGIENE TEAM LEADER

Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 4:00pm
Hours: 45 hours per week (including 1-hour unpaid break)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hygiene Team Leader to join a well-established and successful food manufacturing business based in Rochester, Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hygiene professional who is ready to step into a leadership position and play a key role in maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene, food safety and quality across a busy production site.

As Hygiene Team Leader, you will lead and support the hygiene team, ensuring cleaning standards are consistently maintained and that all procedures are followed effectively in line with site requirements and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support the site hygiene team.

• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the production environment.

• Monitor hygiene standards and carry out regular inspections and audits.

• Complete and oversee chemical checks in line with company procedures.

• Ensure hygiene processes and procedures are followed correctly.

• Work closely with production and other departments to maintain food safety and quality standards.

• Support the ongoing improvement of hygiene standards across the site.

• Promote a strong culture of food safety, cleanliness and compliance within the team.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within a hygiene environment.

• Previous experience managing, supervising or leading a hygiene team.

• A strong understanding of hygiene standards and procedures.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within the UK food manufacturing industry.

• Experience conducting hygiene audits and inspections.

• Experience carrying out chemical checks.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards within a production environment.
