What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and care plans for patients with complex needs, including diabetes, vascular and rheumatological diseases, wound management, neurological disorders, and nail surgery.
- Provide expert wound care, utilising advanced skills in infection detection, offloading, and specialist dressing application.
- Conduct manual ABPI assessments, Toe Pressure, and optional Blue Dop evaluations.
- Quickly assess and treat urgent new patients, implementing effective pathways within diabetic foot care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for cohesive patient care plans and improved patient outcomes.
Requirements of the Podiatrist:
- A qualified podiatrist with a degree or equivalent in Podiatry.
- Recent experience in podiatry, ideally within a similar NHS setting.
- Registered with the HCPC as a podiatrist eligible to work in the UK.
- NHS experience is beneficial but not required.
