Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – Wakefield

A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Wakefield is partnering with KPI Education to recruit a passionate Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2025.
The Role
- Full-time, long-term position starting October 2025
- Earn up to £560 per week
- Work in one primary school setting in Wakefield
- Support children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, providing both academic and emotional assistance
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to boost confidence, learning, and wellbeing
- Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
- Opportunity to support children with SEN, behavioural, or emotional needs
- Teacher training pathways available from 2026
What We're Looking For
- A 2:1 or higher in Psychology (or a closely related subject)
- Experience working with children (school-based, volunteering, or youth work) is highly desirable
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development, particularly in SEN, behaviour support, or child mental health
- Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to making a positive impact
