General Manager - Premium Branded Restaurant in Oxford

GENERAL MANAGER – PREMIUM BRANDED RESTAURANT

£52,000–£54,000 + TRONC + BONUS

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to take on a well-established, high-performing premium restaurant in Oxford.

This is a brilliant site with a strong reputation, loyal guest base and a real connection to the local community. The restaurant is already performing well, with weekly revenue around £45,000, but there is still plenty of opportunity to continue growing the business.

This role needs someone who really understands hospitality. Someone who loves being on the floor, knows their guests, develops their people and genuinely cares about delivering an exceptional experience every time.

THE ROLE

• You will take full ownership of the day-to-day operation, leading an established team and maintaining consistently high standards across the restaurant.
• Guest experience is hugely important here. We need someone who is visible, engaging and naturally builds relationships – someone who notices the details and understands how to make people feel looked after.
• You will also take responsibility for the commercial performance of the restaurant, understanding your numbers, managing costs and labour and identifying opportunities to continue driving sales.
• People development will be a big part of the role. You will lead from the floor, develop your management team and create a culture where people enjoy coming to work and want to progress.
• You will have support from an experienced senior operator within the business, giving you a strong handover and plenty of support as you settle into the site.

THE PERSON

• We are looking for an experienced restaurant operator with a strong background in premium, quality-led hospitality.
• You need to be commercially aware, but this role is just as much about personality, people and guests.
• You will be warm, engaging and passionate about service, with the confidence to lead a busy restaurant and maintain really high standards.
• A structured or branded restaurant background would work well, but you need to understand a more premium style of service and be comfortable spending a large part of your week on the floor.
• Most importantly, we want someone who will genuinely care about the restaurant, its team, its guests and its place within the local community.
