Job Title: Engineering Team Leader

Location: Derbyshire

Salary: Up to £58,000

Shift: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)

Job Role of the Engineering Team Leader.

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a fast-paced, high-volume FMCG manufacturing site in Derbyshire. The company has heavily invested in advanced automation, continuous improvement projects, and state-of-the-art production lines, making it an excellent workplace for engineers looking to step into leadership while continuing to develop their technical skills.

As the Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance engineers while also remaining hands-on with electrical and mechanical maintenance. You will support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and ensure engineering activities are completed safely and efficiently to maximise machine availability.

Working on a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern, you will play a key role in minimising downtime, supporting production targets, and driving engineering standards and continuous improvement across the site.

Sector - FMCG Factory Maintenance

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineering Team Leader

· Maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.

· Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast paced industrial factory.

· Ability to work a 4 on 4 days and nights shift pattern.

Requirements for the Engineering Team Leader

· Strong hands-on electrical fault-finding experience on production machinery.

· Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).

· Experience working within a manufacturing environment with automated machinery.

· Ability to support and coordinate a team of engineers on shift.

· Knowledge of PLC fault finding (advantageous).

Desirable Requirements for the Engineering Team Leader.

· Previous experience in a Team Leader, Lead Engineer, or Senior Engineer role.

· Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.

· Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage or packaging environments.
