Salary: £72,000

Shift: Days and Nights 12 hour

Job Role of the Engineering Shift Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Engineering Shift Manager to join a state-of-the-art, fully automated manufacturing site. The Engineering shift Manager will be leading a team of maintenance engineers whilst remaining hands on with electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, PPMs and breakdowns. The Engineering Shift Managers role is 80% hands off focusing on leadership, Projects, PPMs and Training and development of the engineers. 

You will lead from the front, supporting the engineering team, coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring maximum machinery uptime and efficiency.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineering Shift Manager

• Maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast paced industrial factory.
• Previous experience leading, supervising or managing a team of maintenance engineers.
• Engineering Qualification

Requirements for the Engineering Shift Manager

• Must be Apprentice Trained
• Recognised engineering qualification.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing or leading a maintenance/engineering team.
• Strong hands on maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Willingness to remain hands on and support the engineering team with maintenance activities.

Desirable Requirements for the Engineering Shift Manager

• Experience working as a Engineering Manager/Maintenance Manager in the UK.
• Apprentice Trained
• Experience within a highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with continuous improvement and reliability-focused maintenance.
