What you will do:

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure recovery
• Assist endoscopists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Monitor and record patient observations, ensuring adherence to sedation and recovery protocols
• Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards, including decontamination procedures in line with JAG and local guidelines

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration
• Post-registration training in endoscopy care or a willingness to undertake relevant training is essential

Registration & Compliance:

• Active Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration is required
• Knowledge of UK clinical governance frameworks and CQC-aligned standards
• Understanding of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) guidance and patient safety regulations is fundamental
