What you will do:
- Deliver high-quality integrated day care and early education for children from birth to 7 years within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team setting.
- Contribute to the planning and support delivery of a top-notch early years curriculum that incorporates anti-discriminatory practice principles, including daily, weekly, and termly sessions tailored to meet individual children's needs and interests.
- Foster children's development in a secure and stimulating environment while adhering to curriculum guidelines suitable for their developmental stages.
- Engage in assessments of children’s overall development by conducting observations and maintaining detailed records of children’s achievements.
- Support colleagues as key workers to specific child groups and facilitate smooth transitions from home to the centre and from the centre to school.
- Manage children’s behaviour consistent with procedural guidance and design interventions for children with additional needs.
- Provide necessary physical care, including washing, changing, feeding, and administering medication; support children in developing essential self-help skills.
- Adhere to Child Protection protocols and report any concerns to centre managers.
- Plan and organise educational and enjoyable outings, ensuring children's safety and engagement.
- Support children in acquiring personal hygiene skills and independence; assist with first aid and emergency care as needed.
