What You Will Do:

  • Act as lead case officer for strategic and major planning applications from inception through post-permission stages.

  • Provide specialist pre-application advice and manage complex application processes.

  • Prepare and deliver clear, persuasive presentations to the Planning Committee.

  • Communicate complex planning matters effectively to varied audiences and stakeholders.

  • Draft written statements for appeals, hearings, and public inquiries and present the Council’s case where required.

  • Negotiate with developers to secure Section 106 obligations and manage CIL matters, including financial viability considerations.
