Consultant In Palliative Care Medicine in Denny

Applications are invited from Consultants in Palliative Medicine to join the team based at their Hospice in Denny in beautiful Stirlingshire, Scotland.
The Hospice is situated in Central Scotland with easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh as well as many beautiful rural areas and the Trossachs National park.
The Hospice is a 24-bedded inpatient facility supporting 350 admissions a year with a larger Hospice at Home and Community service.
The Medical team comprises four Consultants including a Medical Director, six speciality Doctors and one trainee
The salary range is £115,430 to £148,064, pro-rata for part-time.
Full-time is four days per week which includes participation in the on-call rota (2nd on-call only) for which there is an 8% allowance. 6 – 8 sessions per week (additional 2 sessions paid per week for 1 in 5 on-call commitment)
Established in 1981, this is an established charity and one of the largest Hospices in Scotland. Covering a similar area and supported by the local NHS Trust supporting people and families across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth living with serious illness to live well, die well and make every moment count.
Their specialist team includes nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, chaplains, patient and family support and creative arts facilitators - working together to provide compassionate, person-centred care.
The Hospice is the sole provider of community, in-patient and hospital specialist medical palliative care services in their catchment area and have an established reputation as an independent Hospice with excellence in clinical practice, research and education. They also champion services like Hospice @ Home and an innovative Community Development Team.
Person requirements
Full registration with the UK GMC
Be on or eligible within six months for inclusion on the GMC Specialist register for Palliative medicine
Experience in a wide range of Palliative Care settings
To hold a full driving licence
