What you will do:

• Independently chair Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences in accordance with the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and London Child Protection Procedures.
• Facilitate effective multi-agency decision-making and ensure Child Protection Plans are outcome-focused, proportionate, and child-centred.
• Ensure the active participation of children, young people, parents, carers, and wider family networks within safeguarding processes.
• Provide professional challenge where safeguarding practice, statutory compliance, or service delivery standards fall below expectations.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised social work qualification.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development CPD.

Experience:

• Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
• Experience chairing Child Protection Conferences or other statutory safeguarding forums.
