Location - Swindon/London
As a key member of the Work Winning Team, responsible for contributing to the development, coordination, and production of high-quality pre-qualification and tender submissions. The role involves creating compelling written and visual content that effectively communicates project solutions, capabilities, and value propositions while ensuring full compliance with client requirements and bid procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality written responses for PQQs, SQs, ITTs, and tender submissions.
- Develop bespoke content including case studies, project experience profiles, references, executive summaries, and personnel CVs.
- Support Bid Managers, Business Development teams, and senior stakeholders in the preparation and delivery of winning submissions.
- Review tender documentation and interpret client requirements to develop compliant and persuasive responses.
- Facilitate and participate in bid kick-off meetings, progress reviews, workshops, and storyboarding sessions with subject matter experts.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, client-focused, benefit-led content.
- Edit, proofread, and format submission documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, compliance, and a professional presentation standard.
- Support contributors throughout the bid process by reviewing draft responses and ensuring questions are fully addressed.
- Prepare and coordinate supporting graphics, including flowcharts, process maps, organisation charts, and diagrams to enhance submission quality.
- Provide regular progress updates to bid leadership teams and key stakeholders throughout the submission lifecycle.
- Contribute to final document production, quality assurance reviews, and submission activities to meet strict deadlines.
- Maintain document management systems and bid libraries, ensuring accurate records and reusable content are retained.
- Identify, update, and tailor existing content for future opportunities, supporting continuous improvement and knowledge management initiatives.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of project portfolios, using project information and evidence to strengthen tender responses.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in bid writing, proposal writing, or tender submission management.
- Demonstrable success producing high-scoring quality responses within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or built environment sectors.
- Excellent written English, proofreading, editing, and document formatting skills.
- Strong understanding of bid processes, tender requirements, and evaluation criteria.
- Ability to develop engaging content using graphics, images, active headings, and visual communication techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, and experience using Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of construction industry practices, health and safety requirements, business management systems, and project delivery environments.
