What you will do

Responsible for sample preparation and reagent preparation following department standard operating procedures.
Prepare specimens by opening them ready for consultant cut up for the following day according to protocol.
Address and resolve technical problems as they arise, reporting appropriately.
Advise and liaise with non-departmental staff, such as clinicians, theatre staff, GPs, and staff in other Trusts, regarding the proper collection and handling procedures of patients' biopsies.
Participate in all laboratory processes, including embedding, microtomy, and more, to support workload and maintain workflow.
