This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role as a Band 7 Occupational Therapist Team Manager in Marston Green, Solihull, where you will work across Assessment and Treatment Services and Forensic Learning Disability Services. What you will do:

• Manage a specialist clinical caseload of patients with complex occupational therapy needs.
• Deliver person-centred, evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
• Complete comprehensive functional assessments and identify therapeutic needs, risks, and barriers.
• Undertake structured initial assessments and interpret referrals.
• Develop and deliver individualised treatment plans with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team colleagues.
• Provide Occupational Therapy input across inpatient and community settings.
• Contribute specialist Occupational Therapy knowledge within multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide clinical leadership and support service planning and development.
• Coordinate day-to-day Occupational Therapy service provision.
• Supervise, support, and develop junior Occupational Therapists and support staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to audits, governance activities, service improvement initiatives, and quality assurance projects.
• Support risk management and safeguarding processes.

Requirements:

• HCPC Registration: HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist (or eligible for registration).
• Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience: Experience within mental health, learning disability, forensic, or complex inpatient services.
• Caseload Management: Experience managing a clinical caseload.
• Therapeutic Practice: Experience delivering structured Occupational Therapy interventions.
• Practice Knowledge: Strong understanding of recovery-focused and person-centred practice.
• Leadership Skills: Experience supervising, supporting, and leading junior staff.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Requirements:

• Service Development: Experience contributing to service development.
• Quality Improvement: Audit and quality improvement experience.
• Clinical Leadership: Experience leading specialist Occupational Therapy services.
• Service Experience: Community and inpatient service experience.
