We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist to join the Autism Diagnostic Service in Birmingham. This full-time locum role offers a competitive pay rate of £26–£31 per hour over an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with experience in autism assessments and ADOS to work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, supporting children and young people through the diagnostic pathway.

What you will do:
- Conduct specialist autism assessments for children and young people as part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic team.
- Utilise your ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) training and experience to contribute to comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
- Work directly with children, young people, and their families throughout the assessment process, providing professional guidance and support.
- Collaborate closely with psychologists, speech and language therapists, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic outcomes.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary discussions and provide specialist occupational therapy input into assessment reports and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with HCPC standards, organisational policies, and professional guidelines.
- Ensure all practice is evidence-based, person-centred, and compliant with relevant clinical governance requirements.
