Band 6/7 Community Psychiatric Nurse – Adults CMHT in Manchester

Exciting opportunity alert! We are on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals to join our Adults Community Mental Health Team as a Band 6/7 Community Psychiatric Nurse at Central Park, Manchester. This locum position offers a competitive pay rate of £26 per hour for Band 6 or £30 for Band 7 (umbrella). Initially set for 3 to 6 months, this role could well continue if it proves successful and the need persists.

Primarily, the core hours for this role are 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. However, we appreciate flexibility, so working patterns like 08:00 to 18:00 over four days, 08:00 to 16:00, or 09:00 to 18:00 can be considered to suit your lifestyle needs. You will empower service users by reviewing their cases on our unallocated list and making mindful decisions on discharges or ongoing care plans with support from the Multidisciplinary Team. If you are self-directed and can assess mental state and risk competently, we need you!

What you will do:

Review cases on our unallocated list within Adults Community Mental Health Teams
Autonomously make decisions regarding service user discharges or plan ongoing care with Multidisciplinary Team support
Deliver short-term interventions to ensure smooth transitions and early discharges
Arrange and conduct reviews, competently assessing mental health and associated risks
Engage with service users to support their mental health and well-being
