Job Opportunity: Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist - Neuro Enablement Service, Sheffield, £26 Hourly, Full-Time, ASAP Start – Ongoing

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity in Sheffield for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist within the Neuro Enablement Service! This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £26 and is a full-time position, perfect for individuals ready to commence immediately. We are on the hunt for someone enthusiastic about making a real difference in the lives of those with progressive long-term neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson's disease, MND, and HD. This role involves working in a dynamic multidisciplinary community neuro-rehabilitation team, providing unsupervised dysphagia assessments and supporting clients in their own homes across Sheffield. Own transport is necessary for city-wide travel. The initial contract is anticipated to last 3-4 months.

What you will do:

- Conduct dysphagia assessments independently in a community setting.
- Travel throughout Sheffield to visit clients in their homes, requiring own transport.
- Work closely with the neuro-rehabilitation team to support clients with conditions like MS, Parkinson's, MND, and HD.
- Apply your knowledge to develop and implement person-centred therapy plans.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.

Requirements:

- Registration with the HCPC.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Preferably a car driver, given the community-based nature of the position.
